Tell the DJ

| "This is so thick ...loves it".
Thick Plate reverbs with fat tube compression and lots of groove. This track makes me all warm inside, something even a koala bear can't do.
I'm keeping my analog baby.

Save The Drama for your Llama
| Date: 10-17-2005 Genre: Downtempo / Ambient
| I was due to make an ambient track. I am absolutely in love with this sound. I love long plate reverbs on rich instruments with high levels of compression.
It could use some whispering maybe?

| Creepy, howling metaphors housing incredible fallacies from the abyss.
In the spirit of the Sam Levitz on 36th.
They say it's haunted.
Though I've yet to see the dead man they all talk about and I aim to dismiss.

How fast can I make a techno track?
| Date: 10-15-2005 Genre: Techno
| So this is an exercise called how fast can I make a decent techno track. It seemed to work out okay. I figured since I spent so much time on the last one I'd do something more simple and a bit more characteristic of the general techno population. i.e.- more repetitive.
BTW: It took 95 minutes.

Big plans
| Date: 10-14-2005 Genre: Breakbeat
| So I just purchased NightlyMusic.com
I'm going to build a bigger, better site with more features and I plan on releasing a CD as well. It's too soon to even plan dates for the release and move-over. But I think Nightly Music is a more fitting environment for what I am doing. It just seems to make more sense.
The track here I worked on for two days. Mostly because I wanted to do vocals for it and I'm extremely critical of my own voice. This track disorients my voice but leaves enough for you to hold on to and cherish forever. Or not?
Good thing I don't take myself seriously or anything.

Compression is fun for the whole family
| Date: 10-13-2005 Genre: Bizarre Electronica
| So this track combines several different styles: It's got a jazz feel, breakbeat drum textures, and a drum n' bass tempo (185bpm, double that of hip hop).
I worked really hard to get it to sound fluid. Also the mastering is pretty pristine. Though I'm still testing different limiting techniques so I can get the track hotter without distortion or digital clipping. I guess that's why it is 2:11am in the morning and I'm still working. That and I'm nuts.

Nail on head
| Date: 10-12-2005 Genre: Drum n' Bass
| I can not express to you all enough how satisfied I am with how this master came out. I think I'm finally starting to get the technique down on my new setup. I'd like to be as consistent as possible, leaving everything that I put out with my own unique sound trademark. My style of piano playing definitely speaks loud in this song.

My Promise
| Date: 10-11-2005 Genre: Depressing Electronica
| Tonight I took a totally different approach than the norm, because that is how you learn. The mastering sequence is completely unique and the track sounds better as far as mix and master goes than any other thus far IMO.
As for the rest of it, I used VERY LITTLE quantize throughout, so it has a pretty intense live feel.
I'm excited to have released such a good sounding track tonight.

Working with Rachel again
| Date: 10-10-2005 Genre: Downtempo / Ambient
| Worked with Rachel on Sunday, we finished tonight's release in about Six hours. I was burnt out yesterday so I held off on mastering it until today. That and I didn't want to rush production of such a fine track.
I'm lucky to work with such a talented vocalist. (and she also helped with production)
PS- I don't want to give the theme away, but I think it's about turtles fucking. hahah

Very Late, Very addicted
| Date: 10-08-2005 Genre: Downtempo / Ambient
| Re-mastered as of Oct. 10th
It's so addictive messing with the instruments from motif inside cubase. The possibilities are essentially unlimited. That's why it's 2:30am and I'm drinking a cup of coffee and producing these tracks.
