Tonight I cried
| Date: 12-08-2005 Genre: Techno
| I got my brand new dell xps earlier this week and have been preparing it so I can make music again.
My other PC had a motherboard issue that caused it to turn off whenever it decided to.
When I got this working and resolved my MLAN issues tonight, I actually fucking cried. I was so happy. This is what I love to do; so you can imagine that if I can't do it because some stupid computer decides it doesn't want to work properly, I get pretty depressed.
This new PC is a monster 3.2ghz 800mhz FSB with 2 Gigs of ram. I was able to put 3-4 insert effects on every channel (10 in this case) without it crashing once. Absolutely amazing.
With the other computer it would crash using just 3-4 insert effects. This tool is going to allow me to make some pretty awesome shit. Hope you enjoy my efforts.

Call Out
| Date: 11-21-2005 Genre: Bizarre Electronica
| This is a call out to one of the finest artists on 15 Megs Of Fame, Iapga. This is a parody of verses used in Snow Peas, an Iapga song. I've custom written this track using parody vocals of Snow Peas from this thread.
This is a fucking musical war. You may begin.

O RLY?
| Date: 11-18-2005 Genre: Breakbeat
| Yo! So I spent the past two days re-installing everything on my production box. I was troubled by the performance and figured it would be good to have a clean slate. This song was a lot easier to make because of my efforts.
ALSO: I'll have a ripped DVD of the Weiss Pollack track released on here soon. That way anybody wanting to listen to it on a surround sound system can just burn it and enjoy!
Here's some images of the gallery display:
Thanks to Geoff Stearns for these!

Finally complete
| Date: 11-13-2005 Genre: House
| I am finally complete with the Weiss Pollack track. It's taken pretty much all of my resources up for the past week. This is the mp3 stereo interleaved version of the track, which is actually in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound (although unless you want to download the DVD you can't listen to that format). It will be used for an interactive optical illusion/ holographic installation at the Weiss Pollack Galleries in downtown Chelsea New York City. The event takes place November 17th. Email me for more info, or if you'd like an invite.

Back from the Black
| Date: 10-31-2005 Genre: Electronica Jazz
| The past few days I've been out of town, so here's my re-entry into the abyss. Tonight it's very melodic jazz and a powerful mix along with some analog synths and supertapped keyboard. I think I'll be posting this on 15 megs of fame tonight to see how I do. Glad to be back.

Widespread Panic?
| Date: 10-26-2005 Genre: Electronica Jazz
| The piano riff that I used in this composition was actually quite old. It felt good reviving some old ideas and modernizing them.
I was supposed to go see widespread panic tonight, but we were late and that ruined everything :(
Anyway, the track came out good. Still grooving.

I hope
| Date: 10-25-2005 Genre: Electronica Funk
| I'm really feeling it tonight. Maybe that's because I just installed two gigs of ram and now I don't have to worry so much about crashing because of insert fx. Or maybe it's because I got back to focusing on just the music, less lyrics. I don't know. I'm just happy with the way this came out.
I try to keep the SGR project growing in many directions. Fast, funky electronica will always be one of them.

ROCKPANTS with Nik
| Date: 10-24-2005 Genre: Bizarre Electronica
| This is from my garage band. We are totally hair rock electronica. That was a lie, this is actually me and a live guitarist recording. He does like hair rock though :)
Thanks again to Nikolas Olsen for the Lead!

My dog might eat the bird

| More vocals today than usual. Hope you find it unique.
The past three days have revolved around data storage and solutions to driver conflict. I think we're all sorted out for now, though I'm not certain I've found a permanent storage solution yet.
Burning DVD sets as backup for my material seems to be the best route. I'd like for anyone to be able to easily retrieve Cubase source files from me later if they wish to collaborate and/or modify the music.

Improved Improv
| Date: 10-19-2005 Genre: Electronica Jazz
| So this is definitely a rough cut, but I was trying to be a little out of the ordinary tonight. I'd like to push my limits in jazz a bit further. Believe it or not I actually wrote poetic verses for the whole song. I just couldn't get them to work in such a short time frame. I suppose what I was trying to do would be better suited for a weekend when I have more time.
